1. What is ITI?

Ans: The full form of ITI is Industrial Training Institute. The very meaning of ITI is that it is a kind of Training Providing Institute in technical field catering the needs of Industries.
The basic technology of Industry and its function is learnt in it is and ultimately after having training the passes out trainees are engaged to perform the basic works of technical field in the industry. So ITI training refers to such training to run the basic industrial units.

2. Why should one be interested for ITI Training ?

Ans: Now a says industrialization is given much importance both by Govt. and private sectors.ITI training provides ample scope to the trainees to be engaged in the industries in privates and Govt. sectors.
Besides creating job opportunities this training also biggest technical personnel who after completing the courses can be able to setup his own industrial workshop where he can random greatly to the public and can be able to earn much. So this training course provides healthier income which ultimately turn the trainees to be healthy citizen of our country.

3.What are the training courses in ITI?

Ans: ITI imparts training in different sections of industrial works .Such sections are called trades. There are many designated trades like Fitter, Welder, Mech. Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Turner, Machinist, Carpentry, Blacksmith, Plumber in mechanical discipline. In Automobile discipline Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Diesel Mechanic, Tractor Mechanic trades are in ITI. Similarly in electrical discipline electrician, wireman trades are in ITI. In the Electronics branch Electronics General and Electronics Mechanic trades are available in ITI. Besides the above Engineering trades training is also imparted in the non-Engineering trades like cutting and sewing, COPA ,Stenography, Dress Making, Food Processing & Preservation. All the above trades have their own demand in the Industrial Sector.

4. What is the entry qualification for ITI Training?

Ans: The entry qualification for ITI training in the Engg. Trades is HSC pass except welder(HSC failed/8th standard pass) . The entry qualification to stenography, COPA and Dress Making trade is HSC pass.

5:What is the difference between ITI and Diploma?

ITI provides Industrial training and diploma course in Engineering Schools or Polytechnics provides Industrial education. As a part of training ITI gives more Importance on practical works. These practical works are technically termed as jobs. The basic foundation course is learnt and is applied in making different jobs in ITIs. Diploma course is higher than ITI course, Where the total tenure of course is 3 years. But in ITI maximum course period is 2 years. In some trades like Welder, Stenography, Dressmaking the course period is 1 year. Also after ITI one can enter into Diploma education getting 1 year relaxation by way of lateral entry.

6: Benefits of ITI training?

After all ITI training one can:
(a) Be able to prosecute diploma education.
(b) Be able to undergo Apprenticeship Training.
(c) Be able to be self employed
(d) Be able to get employment in Govt & Private industrial sectors.
(e) Be able to do the Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics work of his house hold without depending on others.

7: What is Apprenticeship?

Apprenticeship is kind of Training provided to the passed out trade Craftsman. After gaining basic knowledge and Skill in a designated trade he/she will be provided such course with a view to learn in an Industries with big Machineries with huge production as a pre-employee. In such Industries the Craftsman gets sufficient scope to handle such machineries removing fears and apprehensions of mind. In liu of this service as apprentice he gets stipend, so that the charm of learning is experienced which tempts him to do something for his livelihood without tempts being a burden on his parents.
